South Florida construction rises 50 percent....HURRAY !!

New projects like BrickellHouse are driving growth
The total volume of contracts for future construction in South Florida reached $326.1 million in February, a 50 percent increase compared to the same period in 2011, according to a report from McGraw-Hill Construction. There was $218 million in contracts for futur...e construction in February 2011. The totals include residential and nonresidential buildings. Since the beginning of 2012, contracts for future construction are up 22 percent compared to the same period in 2011. The report was compiled by the research and analytics unit of McGraw-Hill Construction. Alexander Britell

  1. South Florida construction companies must be rejoicing at the news. But why are new homes being built when there are so many left over from the last boom? Why not clean up and market them, considering there are over a million vacant homes in our state?
